Women with Beard Sketch (Immaculate Condition) In Stock

A numbered limited edition, Guild stamped piece from an edition of 750. Printed by Cherley and Pickersgill and published by The Adam Collection Ltd in 1975 complete with the Fine Art Trade Guild blindstamp, on wove paper, with full margins, framed.

When a bearded woman got into his railway compartment at Newport he was delighted. 'Well Sir' he told a friend, 'I could not let such an opportunity pass so I began almost at once to make a drawing of her on a bit of paper. At first she was greatly troubled but we talked and by the time the train had reached Paddington we were the best of friends - we even shook hands on the platform.'

We are delighted to offer this particular piece in excellent condition which has recently been framed to museum standards. Presented with a contemporary FSC-certified wood frame in new acid-free mount with UV-safe Museum glass to archival standards.
